The only thing that's got me excited about this year's Superbowl is a great new site called Jinx the Jock. It started as a Jessica Romo bashing site and has progressed. Other than that I don't care about watching another New England game. I get it, they are the best ever. Can we skip the rest and just give them the trophy now? Cuz the only thing worse than their winning again would be watching Eli Manning win - yuck!
This past Sunday I was totally cheering for Favre, I am so bummed he's not playing, then it would at least be exciting. Sorry Giants fans, I appreciate you love your team but I just hate Manning. I do like Strahan though.
I definitely have other things to look forward to on the big day, one of which is my birthday - a big one - and a house full of fun people. Plus the Superbowl 5k and beer garden kicks off the day so the rest is a blur anyway.
It's always sad when the season ends but at least I won a little money and I have high hopes for Jay Cutler in the coming years. Just hope that Lynch stays another year. The good thing about the season ending is that summer is on its way!

New England's Season Sparks Sweet Memories

It was nearly ten years ago that the Denver Broncos had their last great Superbowl Season. We went 12 weeks without a loss and each time another team does that it reminds me of that awesome time.
I was living in New York City, I was single, I was just hitting my 30s and I loved watching football in the cold weather on Eastern time. I watched Denver games in 2 different regular bars - one was brutally destroyed on 9/11 (The Marriott) and one was the
Riviera Cafe. I loved watching weekly with all the other fans from another city.
Riviera Cafe. I loved watching weekly with all the other fans from another city.I distinctly remember the 63 yard field goal by Jason Elam that season. Wow.
The irony is we discounted our game with the NY Giants on week 14 and we lost. It happens to the best of teams, the Patriots nearly lost to the Eagles, no one saw that coming. Hell, I went to a Ducks game last Sunday night expecting just another boring Pats-scoring-like-crazy blowout.
Ah the memories. Good times.

Our New Home

When we first created this blog, we used the free service offered with our hosting, but found it to be a little too much work. Now we're here at Blogger and hope that the new, easy to use app will get us blogging more. There is so much to talk about.
Our Broncos finally gave us a reason to smile last Sunday. It's been a rough year for us Broncos fans. We have no dillusions of a post season, but we'll keep cheering to stay ahead of KC and Oakland and possibly do some damage to San Diego's run. I am very happy with our new RB, Young. Hope he continues to impress.
This week we have a Monday night game in Denver hosting Tennessee, oh that Young is good, so I hope our D can step up like they did against KC. According to the injury report, Lynch is practicing so I hope that means he'll play. You can really see how we're suffering without him out there.
Welcome to our blog if you just found us. Hope you stick around and join in the conversation. We love NFL!
